Supernatural (Wednesday nights, 9pm, CW)
By Paula R. Stiles

The show will be moving to Thursdays at 9pm after Legends of Tomorrow this fall. It returns this week with season 12.

There’s a new extended preview out, as well as a new bumper for the season and a general CW preview that includes sharp objects.

The CW has renewed a deal with Netflix and expanded it, in the wake of being dropped from Hulu. Season 11 is now up.

Season 12 line-up (23 episodes): “Keep Calm and Carry On” (12.01) official photos and press release; “Mamma Mia” (11.02) synopsis and photos; and “The Foundry” (11.03) synopsis.

The synopsis for 11.03 (“The Foundry”) is up:

“The Foundry” – (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

OH BABY – When a crying baby leads to death in a mysterious abandoned house, Mary (guest star Samantha Smith), Sam (Jared Padelicki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) decide to investigate. Meanwhile, Castiel’s (Misha Collins) hunt for Lucifer (guest star Rick Springfield) leads him, begrudgingly, to partner up with Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard). Robert Berens wrote the episode directed by Robert Singer (#1203). Original airdate 10/27/2016.

There’s a new Memento-themed trailer out.

Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki gave an interview about Mary’s introduction to the show.

There was a con this weekend in Toronto.

The show got a secondary headline on last week’s print issue of TV Guide cover regarding an interview with Rick Springfield about playing Lucifer. Nothing really new, but it had some nice photos.

We’ll be back next week with more news, spoilers and blatantly unabashed self-promotion. Stay tuned and check out our reviews of Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Torchwood, The Event, Once Upon a Time, Grimm and Supernatural.
