Supernatural (Tuesday nights, 9pm, CW)
By Paula R. Stiles

The season is over, so no new episodes until October 7 (Yes, the dreaded Hellatus is upon us). But we still have repeats. This week, the repeat is “The Hunter Games.”

Reportedly, we’ll be getting a two-part “bottle” show, which is supposedly different from the Impala episode of 11.04. Since that means three bottle shows so far in the season (and it’s doubtful they’ve plotted beyond the Christmas hellatus), I have to ask the show where its budget went and whether these writers are really up to that kind of challenge?

The Darkness – sorry, Amara – has been cast. The actress is Emily Swallow and she was previously cast late in the day on The Mentalist as part of a storyline intended to split the lead canon platonic couple, so guess what she’ll probably be doing this season?

There was a convention in Washington D.C. this weekend and some stuff is coming out from it, also here, here and here.

E!Online posted a non-spoilery evasive quote from Mark Sheppard about Crowley’s fate in season 11 (the answer to which staff writer and, apparently, now executive producer, Andrew Dabb already let slip), though there’s a nice photo of the brothers that I haven’t seen before to go with it.

Spoilers from Comic-Con continued to trickle out, though none of them were earth-shatteringly specific.

Speaking of Comic-Con, former Sleepy Hollow cast member Orlando Jones and self-professed saltgunner came out there as a fangirl. And I totally want that “Fangirlin’ for Jesus” t-shirt.

Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins were nominated for the Teen Choice Awards 2015 in the Television Chemistry award and have made it to round 2.

The repeat of “The Things We Left Behind” dropped a bit to a 0.2/1 in demo and 0.75 million in audience.

We’ll be back next week with more news, spoilers and blatantly unabashed self-promotion. Stay tuned and check out our reviews of Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Torchwood, The Event, Once Upon a Time, Grimm and Supernatural.
