Supernatural (Tuesday nights, 9pm, CW)
By Paula R. Stiles

This week is “The Prisoner” (10.22). So far, we’ve got a promo, a sneak peek, the official synopsis, and promotional photos. The episode will be starting and ending two minutes late.

We got a last-minute sneak peek and producer’s preview for “Dark Dynasty,” which appears to be a common thing now.

Jensen Ackles gave two interviews last week, one to Variety and one to People Magazine online.

There were two cons this past weekend, which resulted in some interesting panels and tweets. Staff writer Robbie Thompson was at De Paul. He did a panel where he talked about Charlie’s demise and his reaction to it.

Several actors (and Jim Michaels), on the other hand, were at Asylum 14. There were also some spoilers from the con here, too.

Despite the raging and wailing on some social media platforms about Charlie’s demise, not a lot of people actually watched the episode. The demo for “Dark Dynasty” fell to a miserable 0.6/2 in demo, and 1.45 million in audience. Admittedly, it’s still in the top four for the week in audience and tied for third in the demo with two other shows on the network thanks to miserable ratings from most other CW series right now, but that’s a bad rating for the show.

Meanwhile, the Live+7 ratings for the previous Charlie episode (“Book of the Damned”) rose from a 0.6 to a 1.2, which is a respectable rise, but still nothing to the 1.4s and 1.5s it was regularly getting not so long ago.

We’ll be back next week with more news, spoilers and blatantly unabashed self-promotion. Stay tuned and check out our reviews of Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Torchwood, The Event, Once Upon a Time, Grimm and Supernatural.
