Supernatural (Tuesday nights, 9pm, CW)
By Paula R. Stiles

According to the Supernatural Wiki site, the show is on hiatus until March 23, when it returns with “Safe House” (11.16, the season five flashback episode with Bobby and Rufus). So far, we have a CW promo for it. There are lots of spooky, zombie-like ghosts in it. Could we perhaps be revisiting the Veil? Amara would surely be able to access it.

Titles so far for the season are “Out of the Darkness, Into the Fire” (11.01), “Form and Void” (11.02), “The Bad Seed” (11.03), “Baby” (11.04), “Thin Lizzie” (11.05), “Our Little World” (11.06), “Plush” (11.07), “Just My Imagination” (11.08), “O Brother Where Art Thou?” (11.09), “The Devil in the Details” (11.10), “The Sound of Silence” (now “Into the Mystic” 11.11), “Don’t You Forget About Me” (11.12), “Love Hurts” (11.13), “The Vessel” (11.14), “Beyond the Mat” (11.15), “Safe House” (11.16), “Unknown Title” (11.17), and “Red Meat” (11.18).

Two sneak peeks came out belatedly for “Beyond the Mat.”

There was a new con in Nashville this weekend. Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles’ Gold breakfast panel is up.

The “You Are Not Alone” fundraising campaign by Ackles and Misha Collins ends today.

The show dropped slightly in the demo to 0.7/2 and to 1.85 million for “Beyond the Mat.” With Legends of Tomorrow rating only slightly higher, the show came in at a healthy fourth place last week.

We’ll be back next week with more news, spoilers and blatantly unabashed self-promotion. Stay tuned and check out our reviews of Game of Thrones, Doctor Who, Torchwood, The Event, Once Upon a Time, Grimm and Supernatural.

Why are the sneak peaks being released after the show airs (or maybe the afternoon the show is airing? Are the sneak peaks put together by the show or by the network?

Either way it is a little nuts. Or it just ticks me off.

Is it possible the zombie ghosts are because of Lucifer messing around with Apocalyptic tropes for funsies.

    1. Paula R. Stiles

I’m leaning toward Amara tapping into the Veil. If the writers haven’t totally forgotten that and de facto assumed the angels have fixed the situation, those ghosts in the Veil must be going nuts.

Watched When the Levee Breaks and Lucifer Rising. Got a question that never occurred to me before but probably everybody else already knows: if Lillith had been killed months before the other 65 Seals would she not be the Last Seal? So if there were only 25 Seals broken and somebody killed her the door to The Cage might not have opened. The important thing was for Ruby to keep Sam ‘in line’ until it was the right ‘time’ to kill Lillith.

And Lillith knew this. The bit in Monster at the End of the Book: I can’t figure out for sure if Lillith was ‘really’ trying to make a deal which kept her alive. Part of me thinks it was one of many attempts to ‘lead’ Sam down the ‘right’ path. I ‘think’ Sam really crossed the line when he killed the nurse. That is the only actual murder we ever saw any of the Winchesters commit. Well, we did not ‘see’ it (Kripke would never let us see that, we just talked about Sam’s crime) but you know what I mean. Lillith and Ruby were running a long-con on Sam. And he fell for it.

But again, if Lillith had died in the middle of the whole season would that have negated the whole countdown to the End of Days?

The implication is that she is the last seal and Lucifer would not rise without 65 other seals being broken.
