Supernatural Magazine Issue #14: The next issue of the official magazine …

By Paula R. Stiles

Supernatural Magazine. Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc., 2009. 100pp. US $9.99, CAN $11.99. ISSN: 1752-645X.

Issue #12 is one of the 100-page giant issues of Supernatural Magazine. That means you pay a few dollars more this month. It also means you get more bang with your buck.

Specifically, you get a lot of interviews (not with minor people, either) and a six-page tribute to late director Kim Manners, as well as a bunch of articles …

Interview: Supernatural: Nick Andreychuk (Nicholas Knight)

We’re talking today with Nick Andreychuk, author (as Nicholas Knight) of the Supernatural season companions and writer for Supernatural Magazine:

IFP: Can you tell us how you started out as a writer?

Issue 11 of Supernatural Magazine came out last week (July 28 in the U.S./Canada; August 13 in the UK). It’s a bimonthly ‘zine, so that’s not quite two years it’s been running. All of the major genre shows have their own official magazines now, even the mainstream likes of Grey’s Anatomy. So, in that sense, …

Season three of Supernatural was decidedly messy (and short by six episodes), what with the Writers Strike. Yet, Supernatural: The Official Companion Season 3 is my favorite of the three season companions for the show so far.

It’s not the format, so much, which is the same …

I’ve had mixed success with season companions. A lot of them are flimsy things slapped together with some pretty color photos and fawning interviews, interspersed with episode synopses that you could probably find cheaper online. But every so often, you get a season …
