“Demonstra” Wins an Elgin Award


Huge congratulations to Bryan Thao Worra, who just won an Elgin Award for Demonstra, the poetry collection published by yours truly, Innsmouth Free Press, last year!

The Elgin Awards, named for Science Fiction Poetry Association founder Suzette Haden Elgin, are presented annually by SFPA for books published in the preceding two years in two categories, chapbook and book. Worra won in the book category. Innsmouth friend Helen Marshall won the chapbook category for The Sex Lives of Monsters

Bryan Thao Worra is an award-winning Lao-American writer. An NEA Fellow in literature, he is a member of the Horror Writer Association and the Science Fiction Poetry Association. His work appears internationally, including in Innsmouth Free Press, Tales of the Unanticipated, Illumen, Astropoetica, Outsiders Within, Dark Wisdom, and Mad Poets of Terra.
