Found on the Net: Meat Cthulhu

By Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Today’s Found on the Net focuses on a YouTube video that is making the rounds around the globe. I have to add a censor’s warning: Vegans and vegetarians, close your eyes. This video contains numerous meat products.

That’s right – meet “Meat Cthulhu”. This is a recipe for a gigantic burger pattie. The special ingredient? Cthulhu’s dumber cousin, the squid. So far, the video, uploaded earlier this month, has garnered nearly three million views and some forty-five thousand likes.

The full description of the video reads: “We invade the nightmares of a little boy to bring forth the power of Cthulhu! Imagine a beast so powerful its skin was made of bacon weave and his face cooked octopus, while its insides were double cheese burgers…that’s pretty much Meat Cthulhu!”

Bon appétit!
