Found on the Net: Kickstarter for NecronomiCon

By Silvia Moreno-Garcia

This is really the year of the Kickstarter. I can’t believe the number of Lovecraftian Kickstarter opportunities I showcased this year, and we are ending Found on the Net for 2012 with yet another Kickstarter: the NecronomiCon.

NecronomiCon – which will take place in Providence, August 23-25, 2013 – is raising funds to pay for advertising and printing, venue costs, and the like. Some of the prizes include t-shirts, VIP passes to the convention, and more.

NecronomiCon is a biennial convention that explores the work of H.P. Lovecraft, and that of his myriad literary and artistic offspring, via speakers, panel discussions, book readings, and workshops. Guests include S.T. Joshi, Robert M. Price, Wilum H. Pugmire, Stuart Gordon, Laird Barron, Caitlin R. Kiernan, Paul Komoda and Sandy Petersen.
