Found on the Net: Funding Shenanigans

By Silvia Moreno-Garcia

It’s been ages since Found on the Net was out; I realize that! But, in my defense, I’ve been super busy. On the other hand, I did want to tell you about some new Lovecraftian crowd-funding initiatives.

The first, of course, is our very own IndieGoGo for She Walks In Shadows, an all-woman Lovecraft anthology. There are very many prizes, including Team Squid t-shirts and some cool musical instruments. Please support us!

The Innsmouth Fogcutter comes from the makers of the Cthulhu Tiki mug. The organizers have a project on Kickstarter to aid with a production run of at least 1000 of these.

The project has numerous pledge levels, which include such unspeakable oddities as The Gilman House Hand-Towel, an Esoteric Order of Dagon Fez (designed in collaboration with, a screen-printed Evolution of a Deep One shirt, and more!

You can contribute or look at the protoype over at the official Kickstarter page.

Finally, there’s a cute baby Cthulhu figurine sculpted by Cassia Harries that also wants your support. This one is already funded, but I guess more couldn’t hurt them!

There are lots of crowd-funding campaigns and I’m going to stop at these three for today, but I’ll cover some more next week.
