“A detective story steeped in the supernatural while revealing a satisfyingly natural and humanist flavor.”

- Greatest Uncommon Denominator Magazine (refers to 2007 edition)

“In Fraterfamilias, Doloughan and Stiles have put together a wonderful group of characters. They are interesting and exciting, and yet each of them is flawed in ways that make them so human.”

- Leslie Wright, Blogcritics (2010)

“If, like me, you’ve become a fan of the rapidly growing contemporary fantasy genre, treat yourself to something refreshingly different and give this novel a try.”

- Nick Hobart, Nulla Lux Sine Tenebrous (2010)
