Jordan Summers, urban fantasy and supernatural romance author of Red, Scarlet, Crimson, is guest-blogging with us today. Jordan discusses the appeal of supernatural romance:
Blood, claws and fangs. Nothing invokes the imagination more than being hunted by a primitive creature, whether for sustenance or companionship. The lure of a love-everlasting is intoxicating. Frankly, it’s downright seductive. Who wouldn’t like that kind of devotion? Who wouldn’t like finding a mate who can answer your every desire? Let’s not forget the forbidden nature of the relationship. It’s…

The TOC for our special multiethnic issue, due out June 1, 2010, has been finalised with a total of thirteen short stories and one poem. The 8-inch vinyl doll uses the same mold as previous My Little Cthulhu dolls and comes with two pull-apart victims.
It is part of the series of cute Old Ones designed by John Kovalic, the illustrator and co-creator of world-renowned games Munchkin and Apples to Apples, and comic-book…

From a Gable Window
By G. W. Thomas
One of my favorite Cthulhu Mythos clichés is the protagonist dragged out of the window by a tentacle as he writes all about it. Where did all these window-lurking tentacles come from anyway? The victims who are scribbling their death rattles never explain that.
“Squidgies” are part-and-parcel of the Mythos. Classic tentacles would start with the ancient legend of the Kraken, said to live off the shore of Iceland. This beast was so large it could devour whole ships. In…
